EP-ACT Annual Fuel Displacement Collection

EP-ACT is tasked to collect vital information for the DOE, proving displacement to help lessen our dependence on imported petroleum, reduce emissions, offer cost savings and help your fleet meet sustainability goals. Did you know:

  • For every Federal $1.00 the National Clean Cities program receives, we turn it into $9.00 of private investments.
  • The program’s goal is to displace 2.5 billion gallons of gasoline and diesel annually, within the transportation sector by 2025?
  • 2018 was the 1st year the coalitions collectively displaced over 1 billion gallons of petroleum.

Mid Atlantic Electric School Bus Experience Project

The Mid-Atlantic Electric School Bus Experience Project (MEEP) awarded by the U.S. Department of Energy is working with school bus manufacturers, Clean Cities coalitions and other partners to provide free electric school buses for 6-8 week demos in selected school fleets in Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey over the next two years. These short-term demonstrations are a fantastic opportunity for your school administrators, mechanics, drivers faculty and students to experience electric school buses firsthand on existing routes, without any cost or long-term commitment. To apply, click here and submit a project idea titled MEEP.

EP-ACT Membership Drive

EP-ACT supports the Energy Independence Summit through robust attendance each year in Washington DC.  This year, Transportation Energy Partners is offering EP-ACT members a special discount of $100 off of their registration cost.  If you are a member and plan on attending the virtual summit this year, please let us know.  If you are not a member, now is the perfect time to join our coalition and support clean air for our community!  The $100 discount offsets the cost to join our coalition at the partner level.  We look forward to your collaboration and support for both organizations!

Attendees from EP-PCT meet with Congressman Smucker at the 2020 EIS.

Appalachian Hydrogen and Carbon Capture Conference

Archaea Energy

April 8, 2021 at 1:00pm

The continuing pressure on pipelines, climate change, and the recent elections reinforces that change is a constant in our industry.  The DOE continues work on their $1 billion + carbon capture sequestration program. South Korea is well on their way to have 6.2 million hydrogen vehicles on the road by 2040. Here in the US extensive use of hydrogen public transit vehicles is becoming the norm.  Why hydrogen? It's an energy-dense fuel that when burned produces only water and can be transported in existing natural gas channels.  Be a part of the next big thing.
